Governance Council

Woodland Progressive School (WPS) is directed by an independent Governance Council that consists of seven members, each serving a three-year term.  The council includes, but is not limited to, parents or guardians of students, Community Professionals, a Minocqua J1 administrative leader, teachers and community members.  The Governance Council meets monthly.  The Council is responsible for the operations of the school including policies governing the school, budget development, fund raising, staffing curriculum development, evaluations and educational progress.  The Council governs the charter school in accorandance with the applicable policies of the school board, state and federal laws.  The Council oversees the operational, financial, educational, and collaborative aspects of woodland making it an autonomous school.
